I have been really stressed about everything that has to be done around here. It seems like everything has happened at once. Because the pool took so long, the siding and windows were done later than planned. The dry wall person was just here doing all the dry wall work around all the new windows. That adds to my long list of things to paint. I have been painting for weeks and will be painting until I deliver. I first did Ethan’s big boy room and now I am almost done painting his bookcase blue. Next I need to do Ian’s room. We have had a lot of problems with the walls in this house. All the walls that did not previously have wallpaper on them have paint peeling off of them. This started about a year ago and we had all the affected walls repainted. Well now, they are all back to peeling again, including a wall in Ian’s room. So after I finish Ian’s room, then I need to paint all the areas that had been dry walled, including the entire kitchen. Not to mention touch ups that need to be done on the siding outside. So with all this stressing me out this morning, I decided to take my Harry Potter book to Panera Bread this morning and finish reading it. I ordered a chocolate pastry (since I have been cleared of diabetes I thought I deserved one) and a coffee and sat in a corner and finished the book just in time to pick Ethan up from school. (I happened to find the same corner that my pastor was in, though he was reading another book:) (It was me making all those sniffling noises in case anyone was there today). I was very sad when Dobby died and suprised by the whole Snape thing. And where did Neville get the sword to kill the snake? I thought the troll had stolen it. Did I miss a page? I was happy with the ending though since I only like books (and movies for that matter-remember My Best Friend’s Wedding? I was not happy with that ending) that have happy endings.

I had my 7 mo. appt. on Friday. They did my glucose test and I don’t have diabetes this time. Yay! Not sure if I could have added that to my list of issues this time. I also went and registered at the hospital and spoke to one of the anesthesiologist’s (sp?). I discussed with her the spinal headache I had last time. I also signed Ethan up for a sibling class at the hospital for this weekend where they learn about where their sibling will be born and what to expect from a baby.

Yesterday we went to the dentist to make sure Ethan’s mouth was okay. He said he didn’t need to do an X-ray since the entire tooth came out. He warned us to keep an eye on the teeth next to the hole turning colors as they may have been loosened in the fall. Today we went for another follow up to the allergist. Ethan has been experiencing some of the side effects of the anti-biotics-they really tear up your stomach. They said he had to stay on them for the full 20 days or his sinus infection would come right back in a week. They did lower the dose though. I have been improving a lot since my medication change. I have been able to sleep all night and haven’t used my Albuteral inhaler in several days. They even let me get my shot today. I have to stay on my Pulmicort inhaler everyday until the baby is born. The doctor said that I will notice my asthma getting worse during the last month of pregnancy but then improving the last two weeks. She said that the body naturally protects itself and that I wouldn’t have any problems with asthma during delivery.

George has had to work a lot at both jobs the past month so I asked him to try and take some time off for a family day. Well he took off early today and we headed to City Place in WPB to go to a movie with Ethan. Before the movie started, we were browsing around a store, Pottery Barn, where Ethan tripped on the floor and landed face first. He was screaming and I noticed his tooth on the floor in front of him. Blood was everywhere it seemed. George took him to the bathroom to take care of everything while I called the dentist. Usually George is not around when bad things happen but the Lord was gracious to me today and George handled everything so I wouldn’t freak out. Apparently there isn’t much that they do for lost teeth. So he’ll be the first one in his class to lose his front tooth. Ethan still wanted to go see the movie so we went to the movies. He made it through most of it but then his mouth was hurting so we had to leave. He’s pretty bothered about losing his tooth and wants another one. I stopped at the library on the way home to pick up some books for him to look at about losing teeth.

The guys are back working on the house after a couple of weeks off. They have installed the new front door. It will need to be stained. They’re waiting for the side light to come in so they can replace that too. They both have an arts and crafts leaded glass design. They started painting today. I really love the color. Thankfully I got approval from the HOA yesterday that we can paint it that color. Since I am the one at home most often I get asked to make a lot of decisions on the renovations. I have reached my maximum capacity on decision making and told the super. to do whatever he wanted (how would I know what sheen of paint to get for the trim paint?). We also have a lot of dry wall work to be done because of the new windows that were installed. Hopefully soon we’ll get the front porch designed so that they can start putting that together soon.

Well Ethan is in his big boy room now. First we just moved his toys in there and he played in there for about a week before we moved his bed in there. He began asking for his bed to be moved so we went ahead and moved it this weekend. He’s slept fine in there the last couple of nights. He calls it his big boy room and says that it is a big and strong room. He understands that Ian will be sleeping in his old room and that it is a smaller room so it is better for the baby. He’s really enjoying having more play space.

Ethan and I both had appointments with the allergist this week. He has a sinus infection apparently from the chlorine in the pool irritating his sinus’s. She said if he gets one more sinus infection this year she’ll have to send us to an ENT. He on Prednisone to get the swelling down. My asthma appears to be slightly better but my sinus infection that I’ve had for several weeks now is still lingering and not helping the asthma so we’re trying diffferent meds. I can only sleep sitting up otherwise I cough all night, which of course bother’s my back. Next week I’ll see the chiropracter as well as my weekly visit to the allergist:) I haven’t been able to get my shot for a month now because they won’t give it to you when you have active respiratory issues-for fear that you’ll die from a reaction I guess. If I miss two more shots, I’ll have to start it all over again, meaning the last year and a half will have been a waste.

I thought I would interrupt the constant postings about my asthma (since nothing has changed or improved) for a positive post. We have been discussing names for quite a while which is why we had been calling the baby John Doe. Various names that were discussed included: Addison (which means son of Adam, aren’t we all?), Carter (after Carter Hall at Covenant College), Josiah, Jonah, Anderson (family name), etc. We then narrowed it down to two: Grady Martin (Martin is for Martin Luther the great Reformer since the baby is due on Reformation day), and Ian Becker (one of my most favorite people is my grandfather and his name is John Becker and Ian is Scottish for John). George started trying out calling the baby Ian to see if he liked how it sounded. I warned him that it would confuse Ethan if he then changed the name. His main concern was that Ethan and Ian sound so much alike. But now Ethan is referring to him as Ian…so the name is… Ian Becker Fox.
