It was astounding and unbelievable to the disciples that Jesus rose from the dead. It is astounding and unbelievable to people today. The bible says that we who are Christians have also been brought from death to life.(Rom 6:13)
Do we really believe in the power of the resurrection?
Sometimes it seems more believable that Jesus rose from the dead than that murderous people who have committed grave evil, can come to a saving faith. Have you ever thought that certain people are “too far gone” to believe in the gospel? I think there are too often certain groups of people that we don’t pray for, don’t share with, don’t consider worthy of the gospel of grace.
Didn’t Jesus come to seek and save those who are lost? Was I less lost than say, a hardened criminal?
The bible teaches no. “For all have sinner and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
As I meditate on what it means to live life in the light of the resurrection, I remember how I too was raised from the dead. And if God is powerful enough to raise Jesus from the dead, as well as myself, there is no limit to His ability to bring to new life, the worst of sinners.
Do you believe in the power of the resurrection?
great post - and a good reminder for me at this point in my life….. no one is past saving!
So glad he came to save broken people like you and me!
Good reminders. He doesn’t give up on anyone, so I shouldn’t either (not even myself).
The Lord bless and keep you.
Yes, I do! Oh, yes. I do.
I love your picture at the top of your blog, BTW.
Thanking you for your visit with smiles and waves,
Rhonda
An excellent reminder that we are all equally lost until we are found. I came over from Ann’s blog. Thanks for this sweet reminder of His grace and love for us all.
Yes, I do believe in resurrection power. How wonderful is God’s mercy that he loves a sinner like me! It is only through his grace that we are saved.
